Law No. 44/2019/QH14 June 14th, 2019 of Vietnam National Assembly promulgating the Law on prevention and control harmful effects of alcoholic beverages.
During the past, alcohol was the cause of traffic accidents, domestic violence and social disorder, affecting social and economic benefits, causing many broken families. Not only that, Vietnam is also the largest user of alcohol in Southeast Asia, the third in Asia, ranked among the top in the world, but the ranking of reading is the worst. This is very painful.
Where is the motivation for country development, what will the labor productivity be like, where will the society go when the young people become increasingly attached to alcohol and stimulants? Prohibiting driving after drinking alcohol will reduce the demand for alcohol, thereby reducing the supply, helping us to overcome the aforementioned consequences.
Because of the terrible harms of alcohol and beer in Vietnamese life and society, a law is needed to limit the harmful effects of alcohol. And on June 14, 2019, the National Assembly of Vietnam has officially passed and promulgated the Law on prevention and control harmful effects of alcoholic beverages.
This Law takes effect from January 1st, 2020
